In New York City, he studied with Reggie Workman, Dave Liebman, George Garzone and many other jazz instrumentalists/composers. As soon as he completed his training, Tsuyoshi recorded his first CD, Sequence X, and started performing for venues like Blue Note, Knitting Factory or other large and small venues all over the world. He also appeared several radio stations including Japan’s NHK-FM, and international music festivals such as Torino Jazz Festival 2004. Incidentally, a 11-time Grammy award winner, Michael Brecker was present in Torino for the same festival and he performed right before Tsuyoshi. After his performance, Brecker listened to Tsuyoshi’s soprano sax and highly commended its beautiful sound. Tsuyoshi stayed in Italy for four months to further perform with other artists and completed his CD “Internal Dance” before returning to Japan. The musical journey went on in Tokyo for seven years, but, he concluded it would be best if he’d return to New York. In 2011, Tsuyoshi’s second run in New York began. The beauty and boldness of his soprano sax has already been recognized by New Yorkers. Now, Tsuyoshi adds the alto sax and the flute to his reputations. His future projects include performances, video art collaboration, touring, recording and composition.</p>

CD “Internal Dance” (2004)
